In the world of branded clothing so called parallel markets often occur. This is also referred to as ‘parallel import’ or ‘gray market’ and means that branded clothing is imported into markets or area’s where the branded clothing is already officially imported into. The goods are authentic but are sold sometimes by unauthorized re-sellers and by authorized resellers outside their agreed upon territories.

A well-known clothing brand also ran into this problem and looked for a suitable solution. To help them find such a solution they worked with IdeaPura, an E-commerce and RFID consulting boutique. It was IdeaPura’s task to avoid the parallel and gray market and make the logistic processes more efficient.
